Our Process

So you want a website? Your first question will probably be "how much will it cost me?"

We get asked this quite a lot and the simple answer is ‘it depends on what you need from your website’. Imagine we were a decorator and you came to us saying ‘I want you to paint a room for me. How much will it cost?’ – We have no idea what sort of room it is. How big is the room? How much paint will we need? What kind of paint do you want? When do you need it painted by? We simply can't answer the question without all of the facts.

The point is that we can’t always say ‘this type of website will cost this amount.’ Every website is different. We have guideline prices for projects but it really depends what you plan on using the site for and what you wish to put in it. We can work together with you to build a detailed project specification for your site, which allows us to understand your requirements.

The next step in getting your website set up is a relaxed meeting where we can make sure we are all on the same page in terms of what the website will look like, how it will work and what sort of features you need and/or want. This allows us to get to know you as a client and allows you to get to know us and to make sure we’re the right people for the job. Once the meeting is over, we'll work on a detailed proposal and send it on to you. Any changes that need to be made are not a problem as nothing is set in stone at this point, so any additions or anything you’re not 100% happy with can be worked out easily.

The boring but necessary bit...

Once you are happy with our proposal we’ll put a contract together and ask you to sign it. We’ll also ask you for a deposit. Our contract states that we will do everything we've said we will in the proposal. This means that both parties know where they stand and what is expected of them.

Obviously, if you have any problems or concerns about the contract we’re always willing to go through it with you in person or via email/phone at your convenience. The contract is a really important part of the process and it’s vital everyone is comfortable before it is signed.

Next...

We will now get started on the design for your site and will be in regular contact with our progress. Once we have finalised the design of your site we will take the next part of your payment and we will then move on towards making the working website. You can now sit back and relax, your website is in good hands!

We are fully aware that a website is crucial to you and your business, so it’s important to us to keep you in the loop. You’re always welcome to get in touch and ask us how things are progressing and we’ll do our best to give you a comprehensive update, and to answer any queries you might have.

Once the website is completed and you’re pleased with the final product, we’ll sign off on the work. The process is almost finished.

Finally...

Once the work is signed off, we’ll ask you for the remainder of the money owed. This will have been agreed in the preliminary stages and will not have changed. When this has been paid, the website is yours! We’ll deliver the website to you and discuss any ongoing maintenance with you.

Should you want us to continue to maintain and look after the website on a longer-term basis, we can discuss further work and payment at this point.

Otherwise, our work is done!
